I haven't been posting!

Eh, I got a bit into tumblr for a while. Not that anyone gives a shit or anything.

I do have a really, really long post in the works, though. It's almost done.

New Year's [Eve]

First post of the year, woo!

I added on to my list of resolutions for this year. I came up with it the other morning during the drive back to civilization, and I'll mention the changes here and eventually add them to my actual list.

7. Quit smoking weed. I pretty much already have, but I want to be strict about it. I want to make sure my perception, memory, and grades are sharp. I was also pretty depressed by how hard it was to sing when I finally rejoined chorus, so I know I need to permanently stop, so I can do better.

Yep. Now, let's get on to some uninteresting things that I think!

1. Scars are cool, no doubt. Just not all of them. I honestly think scarring should be optional, but I'm not sure who you could talk to in order to coordinate that.
2. If you need subtitles to understand a foreigner speaking English in a documentary (not because you're hearing impaired), then why even have that person speak in English in the film?! They clearly speak another language as a first language. Why can't the filmmakers translate it for us? I think (1) if you're too dumb to understand a foreigner, then just don't watch the documentary; and (2) documentary makers don't need to assume we're that goddamn stupid. (It'll make us smarter anyway.)
3. I don't know why they canceled the show Mercy. It got me through some goddamn awful times, and it isn't a bad show at all. I understand low ratings, but it happens. Take a leap of faith, broadcasting companies, because it was a pretty good show! I think season 2 needs to happen.
4. I rarely have nightmares about scary things (the Boogeyman, Slenderman, rapists). I think it's actually worse this way.
5. I don't know how people have found the time to watch a million classic movies, to learn the names of actors, to read the most important books of our time. I don't -- I really don't. I feel like I'm missing out on something, and it actually pains me. It physically feels wrong. I know that I could fix it by watching these movies, studying these actors, and reading these books, but I don't have the time to do all three of those things, and I don't know that I could ever see/learn/read it all! I think I'll stick to music anyway.
6. Gotta throw this one in here. I really hate constellations. I don't think they look at all like what they are named after, and fuck you if you do!

So, New Year's Eve. Like I said, I went up to the kuntttreee with some friends, and it was pretty laid back. I'm not exactly sure how I felt about it, because I was sort of uncomfortable. Our fourth wasn't a good friend of mine, and he's incredibly outgoing, and argh! Sort of an annoying one, an idea Erin proposed. I didn't really enjoy drinking either. Honestly, I had two rum Jell-O shots, some beer in a game of beer pong, a little tequila, and champagne at midnight (of course!). I didn't overindulge, but I did sample things I don't often drink, and it was enough. That sounds like a lot when I read it back, though. I promise it wasn't.

So, what else happened? I'll just list, then post some pictures, and we can move on. We ate spaghetti, listened to '70s and '90s music (huh? I don't know!), had a bonfire, munched out, had some very inappropriate but hilarious games of MadLibs, watched Inception, watched TV, and went to bed at around 3. I slept in Luther's bed, and he kept me up until about 4 chitchatting about drunken nonsense. He doesn't always make sense sober either, so, eh. The next day, we woke up at about 12 and headed back out on the 42-ish mile drive, playing more MadLibs on the way. It was a rainy ass day, man, and it was not pleasant. I got home at around 2:30, watched some of The Office (US) while filling out my FAFSA, and took a nap. I woke up at about 8 and then got straight to work on my college applications. Woo, I finished with 10 minutes 'til midnight! I was scared as fuck. I actually really enjoyed writing my personal essay, and I might share it. It's a decent one methinks.

Interesting stuff, though. While it was a pain in the ass because, like I said, I was doing my college applications, Luther called me and talked to me for an hour and a half. The start of the conversation was a bit strange. I thought he was angry at me! He started off kind of mumbly and rambletastic, not addressing me as he normally does ("Herro, manzanita! ¿Cómo estás?"), and said he knew our relationship (friendship!) was strained and not as it used to be. I'll be honest. Our friendship has been very strained, because he does too many drugs. I have luckily been able to get to his problems in relative check. He needs a serious wake up call, and while I'm hopeful, I don't think this one is it. He's been trying to quit smoking cigarettes, and I have bitched him up and down when I see his eyes even look at a pack of 27's, because I knew he needed to quit before turning 18. But he didn't. That, sadly, is not the worst of his problems. I don't know what to do, though. And you know what? I'm mostly sick of trying and I have lost so many friends to this shit that I am truly reeling from the constant loss.

Ugh. And you know what else? I quite miss my ex-boyfriend. We just broke up about 3 weeks ago.

This better be a good year. Here's some interesting photos from New Year's Eve:

I have to respect the privacy of my friends (Katya is a pseudonym anyway), so I won't post too many. I might in the future add more, but I don't want to bother anyone or easily reveal my own identity or other's. But don't worry! I'm not famous or special or important, so it's not important, but whatever. Gotta spice up my life somehow.

I should start reading and writing more this year. Yep.

That is all.

I should probably proofread this, but I don't feel like it right now.

First post: Hello. Happy 2011!

So, here's my first post. I thought I would divide it into two parts, to outline some uninteresting (per the name of my blog) things I think and then to actually get into something a normal blogger would blog about.

Part 1: Here's uninteresting stuff I think.

1. I have lived in Georgia for some time now, so I'm used to not getting snow in the winter. I like to think that if I unplug all my appliances, dim my laptop, and turn off most of the lights, my lack of pollution contribution will encourage it to snow when it's predicted that it may just do so.
2. I have dumped two boyfriends but have been dumped by three. I think that I am losing some kind of game.
3. If I knew how to whistle, I would be safe from the psychos in horror movies. I mean, they can't hurt me if I'm not scared, right? Right. (Obviously.) And what's a better way to show that you don't give a fuck than to whistle while walking about with your hands in your pockets being a badass (or something of the sort)? I can't imagine anything better. Since I can't actually whistle, I think that talking to myself while alone is a good substitute -- and it hasn't failed me yet.
4. British people talk too quietly on TV for me to think their humor is funny, such as on The Office. I rather enjoy having The Office (US) playing in the background while I do homework or play Tetris (jizz!) on the internet, but I can't do that with The Office (UK), because they talk too damn quietly! I think that it might just be that I really fucking hate British humor anyway.
5. I hate dogs. I think they're disgusting. Yep, that's about it.

Part 2: 2011, New Year's plans & resolutions, and other shit.

Today is the last day of the year. For me, it's been another crazy year, and while I have seen and done a lot of exciting things this year, I'm very glad to see it come to a close. 2010 began and is ending on a lackluster note, but I'm hopeful.

I'm trying to come up with some resolutions, and I'm going to come back to this entry if I'm retarded enough to break them. So, to you I proudly present some uninteresting resolutions I have:

1. Drink more water. This has been my resolution for three years now, and I have always kept it. I just wanted to make sure I said it again.
2. No soda, not a drop. This has also been my resolution for three years now, which I kept very strictly the first year, strictly the second year, and somewhat strictly this past year. I want to return to my strict adherence to this resolution, because the year I did it, I kept a healthy weight and felt pretty damn good.
3. Rain or shine, I will get out of the house every single day. This one sounds silly, but I am applying this to days where I'm sick, on my period, getting a lot of work done, cleaning the house, near death, or some combination of the aforementioned. I don't know. I go days without leaving my house during the summer and winter simply due to weather or illness (or, um, not wanting to be seen or not showering), and I don't think that's healthy. Actually, I'm pretty sure it isn't. Thus, no matter what, I will leave my house every single day to get some fresh air, sun, and exercise.
4. Be more sociable. I have a tendency to be mean. I fucking hate people, well, stupid people. Well, no, most people in general. Just especially stupid people.
5. I will finally get my goddamn license!
6. Lastly, I will make all A's spring semester (*ahem*! as I did fall semester) by working hard.

Alright, boring! On to fun shit for New Year's Eve.

Today I'm supposed to hang out with my friends, Luther and Erin (and someone else is supposed to be our fourth, but we haven't exactly figured that out yet), at Luther's house in bumblefuck nowhere: aka Rockmart, GA. I'm not too excited for the terribly long fucking drive, but I am very excited to partake in the margaritas, Jell-O shots, and champagne! Mwahahaha. I believe we also discussed playing pong, but I'm not really sure how we ended up fitting beer into our budget. Actually, beer pong was not specified. I don't want to get shitfaced! I should add something related to my resolutions, then, huh? But sobriety is interesting. I don't know how that interesting thing would fit in with my uninteresting ones. Chillax, though. I don't have a drinking problem. It's just a valid observation, right?

Now, here's the other shit part.

I have to think of something that will make this blog interesting. Whoa, now. Not too interesting, just enough to have a point. I need a gimmick, besides being uninteresting. I gotta figure this out, but for now, I'm going to go pee, watch The Office (US, duh), do some college apps, and pack a bag for this little New Year's get together.

Good noches!

PS. I think this might just be my set-up: I'll come up with 5 uninteresting things I think before getting on to bigger and better things. I just gotta come up with some goddamn bigger and/or better things! Don't hold me to this. I can't deal with that pressure. I think I will include something that is, in fact interesting (!) at the end of each post. Have fun with this one, because it's been keeping my ass up at night for a good few weeks.

Marble Hornets. Scaryyyy, spoooookyyy. Enjoy!
